I recently visited the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation area in Guffey, Colorado, home of rescued Wolves and Wolf-Dogs. What an experience. I was so moved by it that I am starting a campaign to help get them the funds they need to expand their facility. They are trying to purchase over 100 acres nearby to move and build new and better pens. This will allow them to rescue more animals. Currently there are over 160 wolves and wolf-dogs that need a new home. RMWF does not have the room to take them in. The animals they currently have are very well cared for. A local Walmart donates all the meat to feed these animals. They do not get kibble, only raw meat.
When you visit the facility you are allowed to enter most pens with a guide and interact with the animals. Many of them will come up to you and lick your face or allow you to pet them. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
So my efforts to help will be to donate 50% of the proceeds from the sale of any of the photos I created there and on future trips. This will continue indefinitely. Some will say why not all of the proceeds. I have to cover some of my costs as well so I calculated this to be my best choice. In the future I may change it to a higher percentage but for now that’s what I can do.
